I've been taking d-mannose for some time now and it's been an absolute lifesaver in helping to prevent painful UTIs and cystitis. I've had absolutely no side-effects considering they are sugars that catch the bacteria on their way out of the bladder and urethra (this is a very basic description and there are much better and more scientific explanations that can easily be found!) I started taking d-mannose quite a few years ago now after taking rounds and rounds of antibiotics for a bladder infection that just wouldn't go away. I found relief almost immediately from taking d-mannose and have never had to take antibiotics for UTI since. It's really that effective! I found the best time to take them is when you're first feeling the very beginning symptoms of a UTI, or indeed to prevent them from occurring if you know what triggers them for you. because the tablets have no side effects whatsoever they can safely be taken as a preventative without any sort of worry. In fact, I would recommend taking them as soon as you can if you're worried you're going to get a UTI, as the quicker you take them the faster they work, and help to prevent any unnecessary inflammation by clearing out the bacteria before it has time to really get to work. I definitely recommend these if you struggle with UTIs or cystitis, but you should always check with your doctor first if you have any existing health conditions.

It's also used for infections of the urinary tract (UTIs) and for many other conditions. Some women can suffer from UTIs easily despite not having any STIs. It is easier for women to suffer since the urinary tract is shorter. The way D-Mannose works is for the bacteria to have a sort of sugar trap and then it stalls everything. Whilst there is not a guarantee of 100% effectiveness, I would certainly prefer this to having to take medication. These come in a very thin plastic tub that works great with the rest of the range. They don't take much room and are convenient to store.
I've been taking D mannose supplements for a while now to help with my recurrent UTIs. Whenever I run out, I tend to go for the cheapest ones at the highest dose available... It just so happens that these were sent to me as a review product. I've been using these for a month and they've been just as effective as my previous D mannose pills. They're easy to swallow, no significantly weird taste.... Most importantly, they seem to work! As stated on the product page, D Mannose is a natural sugar which is present in fruits such as cranberries, apples, peaches and berries. It is non-toxic and is not metabolised by the body, so it does not affect blood sugar levels. I have four xSpan products in my supplement regime now. As I have stated in other reviews, xSpan are a reliable and high-quality brand.
D-mannose can be very helpful in preventing cystitis and other urinary infections. These capsules seem very good: they have no undesirable ingredients, they are suitable for vegans and are made in the UK to GMP standards so you can be sure that you're getting what they say you are. If you're looking for good quality d-mannose capsules, these should do you well.
